Nowhere Collective is a Chicago-based creative reuse community connecting makers, reclaimed materials, and shoppers in novel ways. Everyone is invited to participate in circularity of things through our digital marketplace and IRL Trashy Markets.

We are thrilled to bring our junky jamboree to the inaugural Fiber + Fabric Craft Festival. We're nestled inside a four-day extravaganza organized by the same visionaries behind h+h americas — one of the largest international handicrafts trade shows in the world.

Nowhere Collective is bringing the handmade magic that proves everything and everyone has unearthed potential! We feature the most passionate crafters, hobbyists, and handmaking professionals around.

Whether you're a complete beginner dipping a toe into the creative reuse waters or a seasoned Trash Smasher with sawdust in your soul — there's a seat at this secondhand table for you.

🗣️ FREE MARKET TICKETS

Expo Passes cost between $10-30. Get your FREE ENTRY to the Marketplace portion of Fiber + Fabric Craft Festival.

Share your email here to receive the PROMO CODE.

You will then register directly through the FFCF website to receive your official EXPO PASS. This gives you access to our Hung Up art pop up in the Lobby, the Trashy Craft Market, and speakers on the Craft Stage. You'll have the option to sign up for other workshops and paid experiences.

🧶 SHOP THE FEEL-GOOD STUFF

Browse an eclectic lineup of eco- and socially-conscious Trash Smashers offering wares you genuinely cannot find anywhere else — home goods, wearables, art, body care, and handmade, upcycled treasures. Every item has a past life. Every maker has a mission. Come find your new favorite thing that used to be someone else's forgotten thing.

🎨 "HUNG UP" — A NEW POP-UP ART INSTALLATION

We're also debuting our next large-scale community art pop-up: Hung Up — a brand new installation that introduces the concept of upcycled crafting to every single person who walks through the door.

Think of it as your first impression, our love letter, and a giant interactive wink to the power of materials that already exist. Co-create alongside our artisans and watch the piece evolve over the course of the Festival. Check out our past Community Art Projects.

📒 GET IN WITH THE PROGRAM

The Festival offers 4 jam-packed days of activities. Register for upcycling workshops hosted by instructors in our Collective: Jessica Woodburn and Molly Brodz (not included in free pass).

And join our Founder, Katy Osborn, for an interactive presentation titled "Can the economy spark joy?" on Saturday, May 2, at 11am.

🟢 BRING IT FULL CIRCLE. BRING YOUR JUNK.

We want your unwanted stuff! Check the ”Trashy Market Materials" feed on our marketplace to see what our artisans are collecting at the Trashy Craft Market. Be prepared for the indescribable joy when you find a happy recipient for a thing collecting dust.

We’d also love for you to use this marketplace throughout the year for those leftover materials you’re not sure what to do.
